.JSB Software Technologies plc, the software connectivity solutions
specialists, has announced MultiView Catalyst, a Unix-to-web connectivity product. The
software delivers Unix applications to the web browser of any customer or corporate user
without needing pre-installed client software. The pre-configured Unix session is
delivered to the browser via a compact downloaded ActiveX or Java applet. MultiView
Catalyst also provides network administrators with advanced face-lifting capabilities,
allowing them to give character based-Unix applications a mouse-enabled web look and feel.
Security is ensured as there is no direct connection between the PC browser and the Unix
host: the terminal emulation and GUI improvements are run on an NT server that sits
between the browser and the host.
