IBM has announced
NUMACenter Director, a Web-based console for its NUMACenter systems. NUMACenter Director
provides a centralised, secure point of control for systems management across a mixed
Windows NT/2000 application and Unix environment. NUMACenter Director and the
pre-integrated NUMACenter server environment lower the cost of running multiple operating
systems in the same system by reducing complexity, easing administration and improving
system availability.
NUMACenter systems have been adopted by e-businesses and Application Service Providers,
which have a Windows application environment but require proven database scalability and
high availability of Unix systems.
