Microsoft has announced that it estimates that customers have obtained more that 1 million
copies of Windows 2000 Professional, Server and Advanced Server operating systems since
the worldwide launch one month ago. This milestone includes estimates from channel
resellers, retail outlets and PC manufacturers; Microsoft has yet to count its largest
customers around the world who have acquired licenses through enterprise agreements. In
addition, Microsoft Customer Support claims to be receiving the lowest volume of calls per
unit licensed of any previous Microsoft OS.
